'Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II' Campaign Review: Old Dog, New Tricks

Developed by Infinity Ward, it is the sequel to 2019's Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and also serves as a reboot of the original Modern Warfare trilogy from the days of the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. The campaign is best described as "short but sweet" with a creative spark that truly shines from start to finish. While it's not perfect and only lasts roughly eight to nine hours on the normal difficulty, Modern Warfare II sets itself apart from previous entries in the series with a top-notch campaign that is bound to keep players smiling.           The campaign contains a unique blend of non-stop and heart pounding action with quiet and meticulous stealth that feels like a breath of fresh air for the Call of Duty series.                CD Projekt RED announced several new titles to their flagship franchises The Witcher and Cyberpunk 2077 on Tuesday as part of a long term plan. The Polish developer announced several plans going forward, from changing their development ideology, to creating new merchandise.                The developer released a series of tweets by announcing several new projects under their two franchises. It was revealed that the sequel to the controversial Cyberpunk 2077 is officially in development, and it is currently under the name "Orion." Along with the sequel to the game, CD Projekt RED announced that Cyberpunk has sold over 20 million copies across all platforms, making it one of the company's most successful releases to date. 'Metal: Hellsinger' Review: Doom's Ambitious, but Lackluster Descendant

    Source: Funcom  Reviewed on Xbox Series X             When someone thinks of first-person shooters, they might think of games like Call of Duty, Battlefield, Halo, Doom, and many other shooters that have cemented themselves in the gaming industry's history. The latter-most title being one of the most influential games in history, for its action-packed and fast paced gameplay, combined with the stellar use of heavy metal that defined its soundtrack. Funcom and developer The Outsiders' Metal: Hellsinger is a tribute to these two elements, and The Outsiders' debut game satifies in its gameplay to an extent, but its soundtrack is out of this world. While the game falters and stumbles in many ways, Metal: Hellsinger is a game no one will forget any time soon.          Hellsinger is an ambitious take on the FPS genre, and that's really the best way to describe it as a whole: ambitious. Xbox Game Pass Sees Major Additions at the Tokyo Game Show

                        Xbox Game Pass subscribers received a major update early Thursday morning after Microsoft presented their press conference at the Tokyo Game Show. Games such as the long awaited Deathloop also received a release date and a Game Pass status update.           Several games shown at the event are now available to Game Pass subscribers, including some of the highest rated games in the past decade. Game Pass subscribers now have access to Assassin's Creed Odyssey, Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch Remastered, Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony, Metal: Hellsinger, and Fuga: Melodies of Steel.           Additionally, Microsoft announced the Bethesda and Arkane Lyon's Deathloop will release on Xbox Game Pass and the Xbox Series consoles on September 20. 'Tekken 8' Officially Announced at State of Play

Credit: Bandai Namco Entertainment America          Sony and Bandai Namco Entertainment officially announced Tekken 8 during Tuesday night's State of Play livestream. The highly anticipated title is launching on the PlayStation 5, and includes returning fan favorite characters and a flashy new map.            The trailer showed series favorites Jin Kazama and Kazuya Mishima clashing on a beach with thunder and lightning, demonic powers, and polished graphics that will make eyes water. The announcement was brief, but showcased returning mechanics from previous titles in the series.           Katsuhiro Harada, director and chief producer of the Tekken series, released a statement on PlayStation's blog page detailing the game and its upgraded visuals. Harada stated that the game was running in real-time rather than using pre-rendered cutscenes. The game is also targeting 60 frames per second for the gameplay, allowing for a smooth experience. 'GoldenEye 007' is Making a Triumphant Return on Nintendo Switch and Xbox

          Nintendo revealed during its Nintendo Direct livestream Tuesday that the classic shooter GoldenEye 007 is coming to the Nintendo Switch. The game will be available for free to members of the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack service. The developers of the game, Rare, also announced that GoldenEye 007 will release on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One as a part of the Game Pass subscription service.          Nintendo Switch owners and Xbox owners alike will be able to relive the classic experience from start to finish, fully remastered for the modern day. Rare tweeted shortly after the livestream that GoldenEye 007 will be, "faithfully recreated" for the Xbox family. This includes smoother frame rates, resolutions up to 4K (on supported displays) achievements, and local split-screen multiplayer.          However, online multiplayer will be exclusive to the Switch version of the game.
